LOVE AND WAR IN ANCIENT JAPAN

Geisha and Samurai, (Love and War in Ancient Japan) gathered more then 150 works between xilographies, armors and other objects among which kimonos and swords.

The CajaCanarias Foundation is presenting “Geisha and Samurai. Art in the ancient Japan” in its Cultural Space of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Plaza del Patriotismo, 1).

The exhibition, made up of 150 sculptural pieces, masks, everyday objects and paintings, covers traditional Japanaese art in the early 900, focusing on the geisha and samurai traditions. The travelling exhibition displayed also an extraordinary photograph collection from the early 900 Japan. That was a unique occasion for walking on the paths of such an ancient civilization.
