DESCRIPTON
The exhibition organised by Caixa Penedès and the City Council of Zaragoza provides an outstanding setting for this display of 111 works by Subirachs (60 sculptures, 29 drawings and 22 paintings).
Judit Subirachs-Burgaya is curator of the exhibition, which traces the Catalan artist’s work from 1949 to 2009.
This exhibition tried to reclaim and rediscover the long and prolific career of Subirachs, that has often been overshadowed by his work on the facade of the Passion of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona (sculptures and bronze doors).
This exhibition has particularly showed the independent works of the sculptor during his 60 years of work. All the pieces included are part of the permanent collection of the future Centre Cultural Caixa Penedès Espai Subirachs.
